Fulfil your dream to fly

Designed for people with little to no flying experience, this course offers the necessary training for a full Commercial Pilot Licence including the theory portion. It follows the standard syllabus of RAAus and CASA which student will receive dual qualifications when they finish the course.

CPL Course Process

The starting point in your career as a pilot is the Recreational Pilot Licence. Please see the process details in the RPL page

The next stage is getting your PPL. Please see the process details in the PPL page

In this Night VFR stage you’ll learn new and improved ways to fly and navigate. In the 14 hours of flying that you will complete in this stage you’ll see some amazing sunsets that few people have ever seen from the sky. At the end of this stage you will obtain a Night VFR Rating which will also allow you to take up passengers at night.

You are required a total of 200 hours with 100 flown solo as a legal minimum. In order to gain the required 100 hours of Pilot-In-Command time you will be given planned navigation exercises. You will also be given up to 15 hours of your own time where you have the choice to explore the countryside with friends and family.

The CPL training will be separated into 2 parts. First of all, students need to finish seven theory subjects via formal classes and all theory exams must be completed within a two year time frame.

The CPL flight training will consist of 20 hours of VFR cross-country flight time as pilot-in-command, including a cross-country flight totalling at least 540 km (300 NM) in the course of with full-stop landings at two aerodromes different from the aerodromes of departure.

After ongoing instruction and practice, you will be ready to be put forward for your CPL flight test. In a flight test with a CASA approved Testing Officer, you will demonstrate all that you have learnt through your flight training. If they are satisfied with your knowledge and skills, you will be awarded your Commercial Pilot Licence.
